Week 2 Autumn 2

11 Nov 2021

This week in Year 4, we have been continuing with our topic Misty Mountain, Winding River.

The children used their research skills in Computing, to find out about the River Trent, as well as any physical/human features that lay alongside it. They then found the 6-figure grid reference number for each of these landmarks. Well done 4S.

In our English lessons this week, the children have been planning their Setting Description. They have done really well whilst learning about brakets for parenthesis and figurative language. Next week they will be writing their final draft.

For Science last week, we started to learn about different habitats. We considered what animals would live in different habitats, and why. We took a look around the school at the woodland area surrounding us, and discussed which animals would live in there.

Finally, the children started their new RE topic this week. They did a fantastic job in beginning to learn about Judaism, and were able to recall various facts they had learnt. Great work Year 4.

Have a lovely weekend,

Miss Smith.
