Week 6

15 Oct 2021

We have had another great week in Year 4.

In Reading, the children studied a non-fiction text. They created some excellent fact files on some of the animals they had read about, as well as being able to identify features of a non-fiction text.

Our Maths lessons this week have been focussed on column method for both addition and subtraction. The children have done very well on this, using their previous knowledge to help build on trickier sums.

We were back in the Computing Suite this week, and the children are continuing to impress me with their amazing skills on Scratch- some of them are better than I am! Well done 4S.

In our English lessons, the children have been learning some key grammatical features that they will be including in their final piece of writing for this unit. They did especially well on the Adverbs of Time.

Below, you will see some photographs of our History lesson, in which the children had to present what life would be like as a Roman child. This was an absolutely fantastic lesson, and the children should all be very proud of themselves for their pieces of drama!

Thank you for your continued support,

Miss Smith.
