Welcome back!
New Topic: I am Warrior!
This week in literacy we have been learning all about monologues. Over the next two weeks, we will be learning lots of information about Roman Soldiers and Celtic Warriors to help us get into the role of a Celtic Warrior to complete our ‘Hot Write’. We will be prentending to be a Celtic Warrior who is walking through the forest preparing for battle.
In maths this week we are continuing to focus on our times tables in all lessons and have been using the column method to help us solve different types of problems.
So far the children are really enjoying learning all about the similarities and differences between Roman Soldiers and Celtic Warriors and the spread of the Roman empire. We even had a go at playing bingo with Roman numerals, which the children thoroughly enjoyed.
Reminders:
- PE is on Wednesday, if possible earrings should be removed the night before to save time in class. If your PE kit is not already in school please make sure it is returned for next week.
- TT Rockstars: if you are not doing so already please make sure you are logging in at home each week to encourage times table knowledge and recall.
