Proposed expansion of Brady Primary School

04 Dec 2017

Expansion of Brady Primary

The local Authority is consulting on a proposal to expand Brady Primary School from 1FE to 2FE which will mean an increase from 210 to 420 places starting in the Reception class from September 2019.

The proposal also includes the establishment of a 30FTE nursery to provide an Early Education and Childcare places to children aged 3 and 4 years.  Therefore, as part of the process, the school’s age range will be lowered to enable the nursery establishment.

Please find below full details of the proposal for your information.

If your child was born between 1st September 2015 and 31st August 2016, they are due to start Reception Class in September 2020.  If you were unable to attend our previous meetings, you're welcome to visit the school on Wednesday 11th December between 5-6pm (no booking required).  Please do not attend if you came to the previous meetings.

Reception - Year 6 parents/guardians. If you wish to order school photographs via the school for free delivery, your order must be received into the office before Tuesday 3rd December. For Nursery parents, before 13th December.

Chicken Pox - a number of children are currently off ill with this. If your child has or gets chicken pox, they should remain off school for about 5 days from the onset of the rash/spots.  Once the spots have crusted over and no new ones appear, your child can return to school if they feel well enough.
