Year 3 Week 3

26 Sep 2019

On Tuesday, Year 3 visited Pizza Express as part of their Scrumdiddlyumptious topic. They had a wonderful time learning how to make pizzas using the fresh and delicious ingredients. After they had made their pizzas, they tucked into them and had very full tummies!

Literacy
This week we have been looking at persuasive posters. The children designed their posters and tried hard to include rhetorical questions, exaggeration and a slogan. They used bright colours ensure that it was appealing to their audience. Next week they will be planning to write a script for an advert to sell their chocolate bars.

Maths
The children have been practising their skills to answer addition and subtraction questions using the column method to support them. Additional practice has been sent home with your child. Next week we will be learning to solve missing number problems, using the skills we have learnt this week.
