Miss Booth - 09 May 2025

Well done for a great week year 3!

English
This week we have been writing our final draft of our non-chronological report about the city of Pompeii. The pupils have used formal language, fronted adverbials and technical vocabulary. Next week we will be starting to look at the features of a diary.

Maths
In Maths we have had our assessment for our unit 'money' and started our unit ‘time', where we have started looking at Roman numerals to 12.

Science
In science this week, the pupils looked at how stems in a plant absorb and transport water. We have also conducted an experiment using celery sticks and coloured dye for our observation.

Shared learning
Well done to 3S for our shared assembly and thank you to everyone who joined us for our shared learning!

Today we celebrated VE day with a street party in the corridor, the pupils ate their snacks and listened to music.

Please ensure your child is accessing TTRS and reading 5 times a week.
