W/C 4th July 2022

Mrs Staples - 08 Jul 2022

This week has flown by!

The children are finalising their recounts from our trip to Rainham Hall during our English lessons. They have all remembered lots of different details which is lovely and have used some wonderful adverbs and expanded noun phrases in their writing.

In maths we are looking at mass and capacity, the children are finding this challenging so if you have time to use kitchen scales with them at home, this would really aid their learning - thank you.

For example:

250g + 100g = .......
900g + 400g = .......

We are about two thirds of the way through Charlie and the Chocolate Factory now and the children are really enjoying it. We are going to make up our own chapter over the rest of the term - what adventures will the children think up for Charlie?

We had a wonderful talk from Dr Roop this week and she taught the children all about how to keep their teeth healthy and strong. The children were all very engaged and enthusiastic!
