Year 3 Week 5

This week has been assessment week. The children have worked really hard and tried their best. Next week in Literacy the children will be focusing on poetry and writing their own haiku poems. In Maths the children will be looking at reasoning problems and developing their skills in this area. In Art they will be creating an animal print collage, exploring different textures and patterns. They will also continue to create and program their predator and prey computer games. On Friday, the children will be taking part in sports day.
During assessment week the children also had the opportunity to take part in a first aid course. They had lots of fun and were very enthusiastic learning how to put someone into the recovery position. In addition to this, they learnt how to apply a bandage to a head injury, how to put a broken arm into a sling and how to perform CPR.
