Year 3 Week 6

29 Nov 2019

Literacy
In Literacy the children completed a ‘hot write’ of the Theseus and the Minotaur story. These were great to read and the children had worked really hard to produce them. The children are now focusing on writing a diary entry. They began to look at the features of a diary this week.

Maths
The children have still been working hard to use a number line to divide. With lots of practice, they have gained a good understanding and feel more confident using this method. The children have been looking at reasoning questions to develop their understanding further.

Topic
This week Year 3 had lots of fun taking part in a ‘Now Press Play’ experience that was based around a story set in ancient Greece. They have also learned about Greek pottery. After this, they designed their own vases which look brilliant!
