Maths
This week in maths we started the Multiplication and Division unit. We focused on the 2x tables, odd and even numbers and equal grouping. We will next be looking at the 4 and 8 times tables. Please ensure your child is accessing TTRS to have a good understanding of both times tables.
English
This week we have consolidated our undertsanding in conjunctions, nouns and comprehension ready for assessment week next week. The children also finished their kennings poem about fireworks using alliteration and onomatopoeia.
Science
In science this week we looked at how shadows are created using different objects. The children measured the lenght of the shadow when light moves further away to see if it increases or decreases.
Art
In art this week, the children finished the topic by creating a picture using different groups of colours from the colour theory wheel.
Assessment week
Next week all children will be taking part in Year 3 assessments. We are expecting all children to give it their best go.
