Mrs Shah's update

17 Oct 2025

Year 2 have had another fantastic week at Brady Primary
English
This week we has been focussing on our final write for our Rosa Parks unit and exploring her early life and the big impact she had in promoting equality for all. Children have been working so hard writing their first biographies of year 2 and we are on the final stretch before half term!
Maths
This week we has also been very busy learning about addition and subtraction! Children have been working to understand addition to and from a 10 and explored different methods to achieve this. They have worked so hard and are working towards some more complex number problems! We encourage to keep practising times tables at home because this will help immensely as we move forward.
Topic
In History, we have continued our significant people unit looking at and celebrating the work of Rosa Parks.  In art, we continued with our still life unit. We have also continued our RE unit on understanding Christianity where we learnt about the story of creation. In science we have continued our animals and humans unit and we looked at healthy eating and diet.
We have also worked to celebrate Diwali this week with a fantastic assembly
