On Monday, Year 2 visited the church. The children enjoyed their trip and learning about Christianity which we have also been learning about in our RE lessons.
Maths
This week the children have been learning to subtract 2 two digit numbers using base 10 resources and the coloumn method. They are beginning to get the hang of this which has been great to see. We then began to move onto subtracting 2 two digit numbers across the boundaries of 10. We will continue this next week. It would be great if you could support your child with this method to build their confidence.
English
In English the children have continued to learn about writing instructions and we focused on adding more detail by including adverbs. The children were great at coming up with interesting adverbs and they discovered that most (but not all) averbs end with the -ly suffix.
