Reception Spring 2 Week 1

We have had an amazing first week back in Reception!
Our new topic this half-term is Sunshine and Sunflowers :)
In maths, we have been learning all about 3D shapes. We are quickly becoming experts at remebering the 3D shape names. We particularly enjoyed listening to the 3D shape name song by Hopsctoch on youtube. We have been matching 3D shapes to everyday objects, making shapes with playdoh and even playing shape bingo!
We are really excited about our new topic. This week, we have been reading Eroll's Garden by Gillian Hibbs and Olivers Vegtables by Alisson Bartlet and Vivian French. We created some beautiful garden pictures and also made some lovely peices of flower artwork inspied by Claude Monet. Tomorrow, we will be creating 'friendship cards' for our friends and we would like to create friendship rocks for out garden, so if you have any suitable stones or rocks please bring them in!
We are looking forward to next week!
