Reception Aut 1 Week 4

Miss Skelton - 28 Sep 2022

This week we have been busy busy busy!!

We have started our phonic lessons and every Friday the children will bring home handwriting worksheets that need to be completed to support our learning at school.  You also need to remember to read the story book 3 times and comment 3 times in your child’s Reading Record, so you will be busy too 😊

Please send in the Proud Clouds so we can celebrate them in class, so far RD only have one!

We were very excited to bake and taste our bread earlier in the week, as part of Healthy Eating week.  We are making vegetable wraps later in the week too, and learning to stay hydrated!

We have talked about what it takes to be a good friend and made our own class “good friend” rules.  We have read Lost and Found and the Rainbow fish to help us talk about being good friends.  We have also made beautiful rainbow fish in our art lesson.

From next week, we will not be asking for lunches at the front door.  Your child will tell us what they are having for lunch on the carpet, as they are all so good at coming in now :)
