Reception Miss Skelton Aut 1 week 1

Miss Skelton - 08 Sep 2022

Wow what a fantastic transition week!

The children have settled very happily and we are feeling very proud of them.  They have explored both classrooms and our lovely garden during their morning sessions.

We have read Peck, Peck Peck and Hooray for Fish by Lucy Cousins.  The children have all listened so nicely to the stories.  We have been singing nursery rhymes using our finger puppets.  We have completed number and sound assessments, and practised writing our names and drawing a picture of our faces.

We are looking forward to next week.  Please remember that Mrs Divall’s class are in on Monday until 1pm and then BOTH classes are in for the rest of the week (until 1pm on Tuesday and Wednesday and 3pm on Thursday and Friday).

Lots of jumpers and coats are not labelled.  We cannot tell which child the jumpers belong to by sight, as all of the jumpers are the same.  PLEASE LABEL THE UNIFORM as we understand it is frustrating if it goes missing but it is impossible for us to give back to your children when it is not labelled.

Every child must bring a water bottle every day (labelled).  It should not contain squash or juice.
Children CAN bring a fruit snack from home, but there is always a fruit snack available here for free.  If you send grapes, please halve them and please do not send in blueberries.
