Peter Rabbit and skateboards!

30 Jan 2020

Year 2 have had a very exciting week this week! On Tuesday, the children had a special visitor called Sam. He came in and taught the children how to jump on and dismount a skateboard, and they tried their hand at riding it across the hall!
We also had a visit from Lizzie's lovely Grandad. The children absolutely loved hearing all of his stories from growing up and we would all like to say a big thank you to him for coming in to speak to us!

Maths
In Maths this week we have been learning how to tell the time to the nearest 5 minutes, as well as recognising the times quarter to and quarter past. Please practice this with your child if you get the chance - it is quite tricky for some and something that will need to be revisited frequently!

Writing
This week we have been learning lots of new grammar terms. We have learned how to use apostrophes for possession, the past progressive and some new, exciting verbs! We will be using this to write our own Peter Rabbit tales.
