Float or sink

Mr Eden - 21 Mar 2019

Literacy

This week the children have been learning how to write a diary. The need to write in the past tense and write about their feelings too. They have been imagining how they would feel if there were alone on an island.

Math

Year 2 have been learning directions and have learnt how to use a compass. What is a quarter turn to the left or a three quarter turn to the right...

The children investigated what objects will float and what object will sink. Children made conclusions as to why certain objects will sink or float.

PARENT CHALLENGE!

We filled a toy boat with small plastic cubes untill the boat sunk below the water. How many cubes do you think our small boat could carry before it went down?
