Letters from the heart.

Welcome back to a great week in year 2. We have had fun this week writing letters from story characters. My favourite letters by far were the children's heart felt letters to try to find Cinderella. I certainly have some budding Byrons and Keats. A special well done to Daniel,Elizabeth and Raghav.They really melted my heart. I smiled all the way through marking them!
In science we carried out an experiment on different fabrics to find the most hard wearing. The children loved making holes in the tights with the rubbing block! The children worked really well in small groups and showed what good role models that they are by sharing and helping each other.
In maths it has been more work on fractions finding 1/2 1/3 1/4 1/5 1/6 and the maths game was won by Raghav's Rascals!
Don't forget to enter one of the competitions for World Book day. Entries by Wednesday at the latest.
Thursday is World Book day and we are having an Alice in Wonderland theme for literacy next week. So you may hear "Off with their heads" repeated next week.
