Chocolate,chocolate and more chocolate.

09 Feb 2017

Last week it was orang-utans now it's chocolate! We have been finding out about how chocolate is made, where it comes from, what happens to the beans and
designing our own chocolate bar. We also discovered the best job ever... a chocolate taster! Wow that has got to be one of the greatest jobs! But did you know you have to use all your senses for this not just taste. We also found out some amazing facts too. You will not find chocolates with blue wrappers in Hong Kong because it is associated with death! The word chocolate comes from an Aztec word.
In science we investigated liquids that had been frozen and in topic work we were historians getting clues from old photographs of london.
Next week it is half term (as if you didn't know) and I have given the children some maths and comprehension papers to try at home.

Have a great week and enjoy the weather especially if we get snow!
