King of the swingers- the orang-utan

In literacy we have been using an ebook to find out about orang-utans and their life. Our resident zoologist Mr Daniel Moorey has been helping us with his knowledge of these creatures. The children wrote questions to then research the answers to and also made up some fact sheets. This included food,habitats, movement,zoos and growth. The children have enjoyed this work and are really rising to the challenges of information writing.
In maths it was fabulous fractions this week and in science we explored different materials and investigated if we could change their shape. We also explored another artist and their work. This was the French artist Monet.
