Why are worms a gardener's friend?

16 Apr 2016

This week in science we have been finding out about worms and how useful they are in the garden. We produced some excellent fact files with 2 particularly good pieces of work from Ria and David A.

In literacy the children are now showing all the apsects that we have covered in lessons. This includes conjunctions, noun phrases, contractions, commas, apostrophes, similes, openers and some excellent vocabulary. Some great stories this week and I would like to mention Grace and Nathan who both are making super progress in their writing.
We are continuing wth our topic and the children found out about work in Victorian times. After hearing how dangerous and how little money they were paid, all the class decided it was much more fun to go to school each day!

This term is a very important time for Year 2 and so can you please ensure doctor and dentist appointments are arranged after school. We will be completing important revision now and tests in May, so by being absent, this could have a detrimental effect on their results. If you must arrange it during a school day, then the end of the afternoon would be a much better time than the morning.
Thank you for your support with this.
