It's nearly half term

18 Oct 2014

Have we really reached half term? I think the weather has been so good it has not really seemed like October.
In class we have been learning how to write instructions for making different items. Olivia loved writing instructions to make a magic potion so much that she wrote two! Lots of children chose to make potions about me, particularly how to make me scream, cry, disappear( I wonder why?) and  Kareena chose one to make me lazy!
In Science we have been looking at food chains and using new terminology-producer,consumer and predator.
In Maths we have been subtracting from 2 and 3 digit numbers.
It has also been assessment week so I will be using this information to track children's progress and areas that need to be worked on.

On Friday in assembly we shared some of our work with the rest of the school and as this was recorded, I am hoping it will be added to the website for the children to watch and share with parents.

These are some questions and comments I have heard this week; Is the tooth fairy real and why does she want our teeth?
Where does bread come from? The reply was Tescos of course!

Thank you for the harvest gifts that you sent into school.
