Well done on another wonderful week, Year 5.
In Reading, the children have continued their work on The Highwayman. They have especially enjoyed exploring the figurative language used in the poem and have engaged in thoughtful and meaningful discussions.
In English, we have continued our adventure‑story narrative unit. This week, the children focused on planning their own narratives, carefully considering the key features they need to include and ensuring their writing hooks the reader.
In Maths, we are currently working on our Statistics topic. The children have been drawing line graphs and interpreting two‑way tables with increasing confidence.
In Science, we have been learning about pollination and the different parts of a plant. The children have shown great curiosity and have asked many interesting questions throughout the week.
Please make sure children are reading at home and going on TTRS.
