Well done for another great week Year 3!
We have had a very busy week this week with all our assessments, but you have all worked so hard and we are all so proud of you!
Now that assessments are over, we are going back to our normal lessons next week!
In English we will be starting our new book Gregory Cool and working on writing a blog entry about the book!
Maths next week we will be moving into our topic of Mass and Capacity, which we started a little bit of work on today.
In science we will be continuing our investigation into rocks- this week we had fun testing out rocks reactions to acid, whether they are water proof and how strong and durable they are !
Next week we will be looking more into fossils and how they are formed.
In geography this week we researched and made fact files about famous volcanos, next week we will be looking more into earthquakes!
Please remember that Wednesday 18
th March is an insect day for the children due to parent’s consultations- if you haven’t booked an appointment with your teacher yet, please do!
We also have our Eid afternoon on Monday 16
th March, so if you are able to volunteer for the activities in the afternoon, please let your class teacher know!
As always, please continue to read with your child 5 times a week and encourage Times Tables Rockstars at least 5 times a week (for 5 minutes) as this really helps them through their math’s lessons!
Spellings for next week are attached!
Have a lovely weekend!
