This week has been another fun week as we celebrated World Book Day on Wednesday!
Our inspirational person for World Book Day was Rosa Parks so we read the book 'Big dreams, little people' which taught us a little bit about why Rosa Parks is inspirational. Year 4 then designed their own stamp to celebrate Rosa Parks. We also had a KS2 assembly about World Book Day where some children were able to show their costumes to the rest of the school.
This week in maths, we have continued with decimals. The children have learnt how to represent tenths and hundreths as fractions and decimals. They have worked hard to divide 1-digit and 2-digit numbers by 10 and how this looks on a place value chart.
In English this week, we have started to plan and organise our ideas for our own river leaflets. We have made sure to include present perfect tense and subject specific vocabulary. The children have also researched interesting facts about rivers.
In science, we created our own circuits and investigated what happens when we increase the number of bulbs in our circuit. Year 4 are really enjoying our electricity topic!
We have sent a maths homework sheet home this week which will support our maths work.
Please remember that 4P will have their class assembly on 26th March in the morning and then both classes will have shared learning.
Here is the homework map and newsletter for this half term.

As always, please ensure your child is reading and going on TTRS 5 times a week.
Have a lovely weekend!
