Well done for another great week Year 3!
We have been working hard this week in English writing our non-chronological reports about the ‘Daily life in Ancient Greece’. We worked hard researching some great facts which we then put into our reports!
In maths we have continued our work on fractions. We have been combining our knowledge of number lines and fractions, looking at placing fractions on a number line, counting in fractions on a number line and finding equivalent fractions on a number line!
For science this week we have continued our work on Rocks. We had the chance to look at and feel several different types of rocks then we grouped them by colour and texture.
We also had lots of fun this week celebrating World Book Day! In year 3 we looked at Marcus Rashford as our influential person. We read his book, watched some videos of his achievements then made some amazing posters illustrating how he has helped so many people in his life!
Next week is our assessment week so the children will be doing their Maths and English assessments in place of their regular lessons.
We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who took part in our shared learning session on Tuesday, the children really enjoyed it and we hope you did too!
As always, please continue to read 5 times a week and play on TTRS 5 times a week, for 5 minutes a time. Please find the spellings list below.
Have an amazing weekend everyone!
