Well done year 3 for another great week! We have been very busy in our English lessons this week looking at limerick poems. We had loads of fun reading funny limericks before creating amazing versions of our own! We worked hard with our rhyming pattens, syllable counts and even performed them to the rest of the class! In maths, we have continued our measurement topic looking at adding and subtracting millimetres, centimetres and metres this week. We have been using our prior knowledge of the column method to help us out! In science this week, we have been continuing our investigations into shadows! We looked at how the size of a shadow can change, depending on the positioning of the sun. In history we have learnt about the Battle of the Marathon and looked at the cause and effect of certain events during this time. Next week we will be having our ‘Day in the life of an Ancient Greek’ for our history lesson! This week in R.E we looked at how Jesus taught others through stories. We read a variety of parables and made posters about the meaning of the stories, and what they are teaching us. As always, please continue to read 5 times a week and play on TTRS 5 times a week, for 5 minutes a time. Please find the spellings list below. Have a lovely weekend! -Spelling Lists-V476549874.pdf-
