Well done for making it through the first week back year 3!
This week in English we started our new book ‘Leo and the Gorgan’s curse’ as well as working on our skills of inverted commas and subordinating conjunctions. Next week we will begin planning our narrative writing based on the story.
In maths we have continued working on our multiplication skills, looking at multiplying a 2-digit number by a 1-digit number. Next week we will be looking at linking multiplication with division.
In science this week, we have started our new topic of Light. We had lots of fun investigating the absence of light, by shinning torches through different objects and materials.
This week we started our history topic of God’s and Mortal’s. We learnt many facts about different Greek God’s, even making our own Greek God trump card!
Please continue to read with your child 5 times a week and encourage Times Tables Rockstars at least 5 times a week (for 5 minutes) as this really helps them through their math’s lessons!
