Miss Pillai - 21 Nov 2025
This week in English, we completed our final drafts of our persuasive letters and the children did brilliantly. They used a range of persuasive techniques and really showed off their learning. Next week, we will be moving on to our new unit on setting description using the five senses and expanded noun phrases.
In maths, we continued our work on multiplication and division. We focused on practising our 7, 9 and 11 times tables and used these to solve a range of problems.
In science, we created clay models of our teeth and carried out an investigation to explore how different liquids can affect them. We used eggshells to represent tooth enamel and tested them in water, milk, coke and vinegar. The children were fascinated to discover that the eggshells in the vinegar became very soft and bouncy!
The children have been sent home with a homework sheet this week.
