Reception Autumn 2 Week 1

What a lovely week we’ve had in Reception! The children have been busy exploring positional language, using words like in front of, behind, next to, and between. We’ve also been working on representing the numbers 4 and 5, using different materials such as cubes and counters.
In our topic work, we learnt all about Bonfire Night and why it is celebrated. The children loved creating their own bonfire pictures, using a mix of colours to make the flames come alive! We also carried out an exciting science experiment with Coke and Mentos to represent a firework. The children were amazed to see the reaction and enjoyed talking about what they observed.

A reminder that Parent Consultations will take place on Wednesday 12th and pupils will not attend school on this day. We look forward to meeting with you to share your child’s progress!
