Miss Pillai - 18 Sep 2025

Well done year 4 for another week.

In english, we have carried on with our character description topic and the children have worked really hard. We have learnt how to use possessive apostrophes and similes within our writing. We have also wrote our first draft of our character description of Lila.

In shared reading, we have carried on reading the fire work makers daughter. We have practiced our retrieval and inference skills this week.

In science this week, we looked at how solids melt. We looked at chocolate , butter and ice and compared the time it took for each one to melt and created a table from our findings.

In art, we have created amazing motif patterns.

In history, we have looked in detail at the invasion timeline and studied the different groups that invaded Britain.

In maths this week, we learnt how to find 1,10,100,1000 more  and less of a number, completed number lines, estimated on a number line and compared numbers to 10,000

We have also had a lovely Friday afternoon where the children had Brady fest.

As always, please continue to read and play on TTRS for 5 minutes a day, 5 days a week.

Have a lovely weekend.
