Well done for another great week year 3!

English
This week we have been learning to use 'inverted commas' and 'suboridinate clauses' in our writing. We have written our own narrative about 'Escape from Pompeii' where we have applied these skills.

Maths
In Maths we have continued our topic of 'time', where we have looked at the different types of clocks- Digital and Analogue and also learned to differentiate from am/pm, and days/weeks/months.

Science
In science this week, we have explored the effects of 'pollination' and the lifecycle of plants.

TTRS and Reading

Please ensure your child is accessing TTRS and reading 5 times a week.

SCHOOL ADMISSIONS - excluding Nursery

Children born between 01/09/2021 - 31/08/2022 are due to start Reception in September 2026.
Applications close on 15th January, 2026. Offer day is in the evening of 16th April, 2026.

If your child has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), please note there's a different process for school transfers. You'll need to contact the Special Educational Needs Team directly at sen@havering.gov.uk to discuss changing your child's school.

School will finish for the Christmas Holidays on Friday 19th December (children will leave school at 1:15pm) and will return to school on Monday 5th January 2026.
