Well done for another great week year 2. We saw so many creative Easter bonnets for our parade and had a special visit from the Easter bunny!
English
This week, we have labelled our dragons, using expanded noun phrases. We then practiced different ways to start sentences such as using preposition openers. The children then used this to write their own information text about their own dragon independently.
Maths
In Maths, we have learnt all about measurement by using centimetres and metres. We have measured things around the classroom using rulers and metre sticks and put them in order from shortest to longest.
Topic
In Science, we learned about John Dunlop and his invention of rubber tyres! We have now finished our topic about materials and will be moving on to plants after half term.
We will be participating in the Infant Music Festival on the 29
th April so if you could please practice these songs at home.
