Reception Spring 1 Week 3

Miss Skelton - 22 Jan 2025

This week we are learning about Lunar New Year. The children have enjoyed learning about different types of cultures and celebrations. We have learnt the story of the Lunar New Year, created beautiful blossom trees and written new year cards. Later in the week, we will be learning about ordinal numbers (the animal race), cooking spring rolls and writing about special celebrations to us. We will also be learning a dragon and lion dance and creating a class dragon using paper plates.

In maths, we have continued our learning on recording number sentences and identifying how many in different ways. Later in the week we will be learning about capacity and weight.

Friends of Mrs Degun's have extremely kindly donated us an amazing Keyboard! The children in Reception have enjoyed playing the keyboard and exploring the music. Thank you Lauren & Ed! :)

OCTOBER HALF TERM IS: MONDAY 27TH - FRIDAY 31ST OCTOBER INCLUSIVE.
Children return to schhol on Monday 3rd November, 2025.
