Reception Spring 1 Week 2

This week, we have really enjoyed carrying on our learning based on the book "Journey". It has made us tap into our imaginations and some of the ideas and thoughts we have come up with have been amazing! We have looked at describing settings, imagining where we would go on a magic carpet and later in the week we will be doing our own "big write".
The children have settled well into their new phonics groups. Please read their books with them and record these reads in their records, a minimum of 3x a week. Please bring your reading books and reading records to school every day. Please also practice their red words that are sent home with them each week. Remember - "you can't Fred a Red"! The red words we will be focusing on this term are:
I, put, no, he, she, the, of, my, to
In maths the children have been working very hard to be able to read and write number sentences. We have been using 5 frames to count out objects and practice writing them as number sentences. Please continue to practice this at home.
