In English this week, the children wrote fantastic setting descriptions. They pulled together all they had learned this year to try and include a range of sentence starters, prepositions and powerful vocabulary in their independent writing. The children should feel very proud of the progress they have made in writing this year!
Maths
In Maths this week, the children learned about using am and pm appropriately when telling the time. They sometimes found it a bit tricky to remember that 12am is midnight, and 12pm is midday! The children also used calendars to answer questions about the months of the year.
Foundation
This week the children enjoyed looking at all they had learned to discuss and create posters about the impact of the Roman invasion on Britain.
The children had a great time meeting their new teacher, Miss Bates, this morning. They are looking forward to their new year group after transition morning, which is really lovely to see!
