Reception Summer 2 Week 4

Miss Skelton & Mrs Divall - 27 Jun 2024

This week we started our new topic Marvellous Machines.

We looked at past and present machines and discussed how they have changed over time. We spoke about our favourite types of transport. We love cars, buses, boats, planes, trains, bikes and many more. We have been busy writing lots of sentences, pracitisng our capital letters, finger spaces and full stops.

We have also been getting ready for sports day. Mr Adams has been helping us practise during PE and today we made invitations for our family to come and watch us. Our sports day is tomorrow - Friday 28th at 9.30-11.30.

SCHOOL ADMISSIONS - excluding Nursery

Children born between 01/09/2021 - 31/08/2022 are due to start Reception in September 2026.
Applications close on 15th January, 2026. Offer day is in the evening of 16th April, 2026.

If your child has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), please note there's a different process for school transfers. You'll need to contact the Special Educational Needs Team directly at sen@havering.gov.uk to discuss changing your child's school.

School will finish for the Christmas Holidays on Friday 19th December (children will leave school at 1:15pm) and will return to school on Monday 5th January 2026.
