Week beginning 7th March 2022

14 Mar 2022

It has been another great week in Year 2 this week with the children really applying themselves to their work.

In Maths we have been looking at 2D shapes and their properties focussing on how many side and vertices they have. We have also been looking at how we find vertical lines of symmetry in different 2D shapes.

In English we have been continuing to look at 'The Magic Finger', we have been focussing on the characters in the book and infered about how they feel throughout the story. In particular we have written about how Mr Gregg changes from the beginning to the end of the story.

We have carried on with our Geography work this week, focussing on finding the equator on maps and globes. We have then been looking at countires in the North and South hemispsheres and how these can differ from each other.

Next week is assessment week, we will be completing some of our in school testing in the morning and carrying on with our foundation subjects each afternoon.
