The Dam Busters...
15 Jan 2016
No, I know what you're thinking - not that kind of dam busting! Year 3 were very lucky to have two special visits this week. The first was Dr Divall, a civil engineer, who taught the children how different soils have their important uses. We put the soils sand and clay to the test by making our own dams. I'm pleased to say every single dam created passed the water test - I think we may have the next generation of civil engineers in year 3!
The second special visitor was Miss Sees from Chaffords. Year 3 were visited by Miss Sees and her year 9 class and taught some African drumming! They were fantastic and Miss Sees was very impressed with their rhythm and answers to her questions. She was especially impressed with Gabriel's master drummer skills. Go year 3!
Have a great weekend and see you all on Monday,
Miss West
