Who was Rosa Parks?

24 Sep 2015

This week in topic work we found out about an American called Rosa Parks and how her actions had an impact on life in America and the world.

In literacy we read Owl babies pretending to be one of the owls and wrote a report for a newspaper. In science we explored habitats and the children met some stick insects who look just like twigs!

Dates to remember I have arranged for an animal ranger to bring in some exotic animals for Year 1 and Year 2 to experience. There is a letter in their homework bags and a minimal amount of £2.00 will help to cover the cost. I am sure the children will have a great time meeting all these creatures.

Dojo winners this week are all girls!  Well done Layla who had the most and Amelie and Lucy who were second.

We are also going to go to the Queens Theatre to see Aladdin on 8th December. Details will be circulated nearer the time. This will be a great treat and I know the children will love the show.
