Remember, remember the 5th of November
04 Nov 2016
Today we had a firework themed day to celebrate a British tradition that is observed every year.
We wrote firework poems descibing the sights and sounds of bonfire night. Some impressive work from Aashna, Jakub,William,Tore,Ben,Jessica,Daniel and Elizabeth using interesting vocabulary.
In maths we had an investigation where children had to find different combinations of fireworks to fit boxes. Some also completed challenge work where they had to consider the size of different fireworks.
Then it was BRICS where we made masks, puppets, chalk pictures, rockets and paintings.
I had fun dropping, splattering and flicking paint onto large sheets of paper. I must say it was very therapeutic. So if you are having a bad day try it in the garden. You can really let off some steam!
A great start was made by the children to their tables this week so in their homework folders you can see which table to work on next week.
Don't forget to book parent meetings for later this month.
I have had some children lose their homework books, spelling books and mental maths books at home. Could you please ensure that these are kept safely and returned each week. I feel it is important that you get to see their results and so I would like to continue this. Thank you
