Who was Mary Seacole?

This week in maths we have been exploring shapes and some new mathematical vocabulary- symmetry,tessellation and right angles.
  In literacy our book was This is the bear about a rather mean dog who tries to get rid of a bear by pushing him in the bin! We have been working on writing questions and retelling the story using different sentence starters. We also really worked hard at not  getting any pinks when Mrs A marked our books.
In topic work we found out about a very brave woman called Mary Seacole who helped wounded soldiers during the Crimean war.

In science we have been finding out about pets and how to care for them. Our pets include cats,dogs,guinea pigs,chickens,turtles and snakes!
 Class dojo winners are Brooke S, Layla and Ria. This is the second time for 2 of the girls. Fantastic!

Naughty dog, poor bear. Good dog for finding the bear again. Well done Kayden for getting no stinky pinks. Mary Seacole was a brave lady. great picture grace and everyone who wrote, drew and read about Mary Seacole.

If you are a parent of a child attending Brady and you haven't already registered on our website, please do so asap to ensure you can access and receive important information relating to the school's closure during the COVID-19 crisis.
Homework for your child's year group can be found under the "Home Learning" tab - then look under "How to help your children learn". 
If your child was away when the homework packs were given out, they can be collected from the office between 9am-3pm, on the following days:
Wed. 25th, Thurs. 26th March and Tues. 31st March, Wed. 1st April and Thurs. 2nd April.  If you or your family are self isolating, you will have to send a representative to collect the pack on your behalf.
