The Great Escape!

This week in Year 2 we have been learning about The Great Escape that happened in World War 2. The children had brilliant fun pretending to tunelling prisoners who were determined to escape! We enjoyed this learning so much that we will be using this event to write diaries on in Literacy.
In Maths we have been focussing on money for the past 2 weeks. The children have been learning to make different amounts, and to make the same amount using different variations of coins. This week we have been learning how to find change from £1 and 50p. They very much enjoyed becoming shop keepers and giving their customers the correct change!
