W.B. 7th October

11 Oct 2024

English
This week in English, the children have been learning about different sentence types. They wrote statements, exclamations and questions based on the Little Boat film they have been watching. Later in the week, the children collective expanded noun phrases to describe the 5 senses.

Maths
In Maths this week, the children have been using their knowledge of number bonds to 10 to help them with their number bonds to 100. E.g. I know 9+ 1 = 10 so 90 + 10 = 100.
This is something that they could continue to practise at home until they have instant recall of their facts to 100.

Topic
This week in history, the children compared the lives of Neil Armstrong and Chris Columbus. They looked at how transport, technology and destinations for exciting missions have changed over many years.
