This week in English we read the Ancient Roman myth 'Romulus and Remus'. We learned what features make a myth and retold the story. The children will be using a character recount from this story, to write a their own recount based on Roman Day.
Maths
This week in Maths, we have been recapping fractions. The children have worked very hard to identify fractions of amounts that have been shaded, and adding and subtracting fractions.
Foundation
In history, we have a new topic based on the Romans. The children really enjoyed ordering events from the Roman Empire on a timeline. In music the children learned to read some musical notation! They really enjoyed playing different durations of notes. This half term, our new topic in Science is all about plants. The children will be learning about life cycles of plants.
