Spring 1 Week 3

Miss Skelton & Mrs Divall - 18 Jan 2024

Week 3

In topic, we have continued reading the story 'Journey'. We spoke about where we would fly too if we had a magic carpet just like the girl in the story! We looked at a globe and 'transported' to different countries such as Romania, Australia and India using music. The children have really enjoyed reading the story and completing the activities.

In Maths, we have been using water and sand to measure the capacity of different containers. We also used balancing scales to compare the mass of different objects. The children predicated which would be heavier and/or lighter!

Our phonics groups have continued to go well. Please ensure you are reading with your child/children atleast 3x a week and signing their reading record to ensure they recieve their rewards!
