Reception Aut 1 Week 5

We have been having so much fun in Reception this week!!
We have been working really hard in phonics and have learnt so many new sounds. We are practicing our letter formation every day and learning how to write our names, some of us are experts already! Thank you so much for doing extra phonics practice with your children at home, we can really notice the hard work!
Yesterday, we had a really special visit from a paramedic! We asked him lots of important questions such as ‘what is your job?’ and ‘what is inside your ambulance?’ he told us lots of information and we were very grateful that he came to visit us.
In Maths, we have been learning how to make a pair. We sorted through lots of different socks and hung them on a washing line once we had found their matching pair. We have also been learning how to sort into different groups. We used buttons to sort into size, colour and shape.
