Reception Aut 1 Week 3

We have had lots of fun this week! The children are all really enjoying themselves and have settled into reception life amazingly.
We have read 5 Minutes Peace by Jill Murphy and practiced sequencing the story. The children even learnt how to draw an elephant! We have also started our music lessons which the children have loved! We spoke about what instruments might be used and how the songs make us feel. We also practiced keeping to the beat using different movements such as clapping our hands and stomping our feet. In maths this week, we have been learning all about time and practiced using clocks to show O’clock. On Thursday, we will be walking around the school and got to meet some important people such as Mr Nunn our headteacher. It is Inflatable day on Friday which we are very excited for! If you are able too please take a donation into the office.
Please remember that you need to read with your child at least 3 times a week. They have been provided with a book by the school that gets changed once a week. When you read with them at home you need to sign the reading records that are in their book bags.
