First Half Term Back
23 Oct 2020
Hello all!
I have had lots of fun getting to know all the children in Year 2 so far and I am very proud of how well the children have settled back into our 'new normal'.
We have been reading lots of different texts and so far the children have written character descriptions and created a missing person poster for the character Tom Thumb!
In Maths we have been focussing on place value. The children have been reading, comparing and ordering numbers up to 100. As well as this the children have been practising counting in 2s, 5s and 10s.
Please remember to bring any empty toilet rolls and cereal boxes by the first Friday back, so that we can isolate them before building castles!
Homework for the week has been uploaded on SeeSaw. Could the children please record themselves reading once this week and upload it. The children would also benefit greatly from practising counting in 2s, 5s, 10s and 3s! A little every day will go a long way.
I hope you all have a fantastic half term and the children have a well earned rest. I look forward to seeing you all after!
Miss West :)
