Miss Burgess Update 16/12/22

In English this week, we have used the festive season to guide our writing. We have looked at identifying questions and statements and used this knowledge to write down our own questions to our class elf using the correct punctuation. In addition to this, we have also looked at adding the suffix ‘ing’ to the end of words.
Maths
In Maths, we have completed our Geometry unit about 2D and 3D shapes and have been revisiting and consolidating previous learning from the year. We have looked at counting forwards and backwards to 20, using a number line and solving missing number problems.
Nativity
This week the children have worked incredibly hard on their nativity. We think they have worked really hard to learn the actions and lyrics to so many songs! If you were able to attend, we hope you had a wonderful time watching the nativity.
